Insurance Billing - Acupuncture Services Only

As a service to our patients, Nalani Natural Medicine will verify your insurance coverage prior to your first appointment.  It usually takes about 2-3 business days for us to confirm benefits. Once we receive confirmation or denial, we will contact you with the information we have obtained.  Although we will verify insurance coverage for our records, we strongly encourage our patients to call their insurance company to verify their coverage prior to their first appointment.  Some insurance companies have very specific diagnoses that they will cover. Knowing ahead of time may ensure that you will not have any unforeseen expenses. 

Contracted Insurance Companies:

Blue Shield 

United Health Care/ Optum Health

American Specialty Heath Network (Specific Plans only)

All other insurance companies are considered Out-of-Network

Your payment is due at the time of service.

It must be understood that the contract is between you and your insurance carrier.  If for any reason your claim is denied, you are responsible for the full amount of your bill.  

 

As a courtesy, Nalani Natural Medicine will submit the charges for medical treatment to the patient's insurance company. Our office does not guarantee that your insurance will pay.  If for any reason your insurance denies the claim, the patient is primarily responsible for paying any and all medical expenses incurred at this office. 

 

Deductibles 

Likewise, if the patient has not met his/her deductible under a given insurance plan, the patient will be responsible for the full amount of the acupuncture treatment until the deductible has been met. 

 

Out-of-Network

Payment is due at the time of the visit.  As a service to our patients, Nalani Natural Medicine will submit the charges for medical treatment to your insurance company and you may be reimbursed directly from the insurance company. Our office does not guarantee that your insurance will pay.

Some insurance companies do not cover acupuncture services. 

If your insurance company does not cover acupuncture or you do not have insurance, please contact our office for more information about pricing.
